Illinois General Warranty Deed Form

The Illinois general warranty deed is a legal document that shall convey and provide warranty by a Grantor (seller) to a Grantee (buyer). The document shall warrant the Grantor(s) is/are the true owners of the property and title. The protection under this document will ensure it’s legitimacy. How to Write

Step 1 – The Parties –

  • Enter the Grantor(s) name(s)
  • City of residence
  • Enter the amount paid to the Grantor by Grantee
  • AND
  • Name(s) of Grantee(s)
  • Name of the County where the property is situated

Step 2 – Property Information – Enter:

  • The year of execution of the document
  • Permanent real estate index number
  • Address of the property
  • The date of conveyance of the deed in mm/dd/yyyy format

Step 3 – Notarization –

  • The notary shall witness, record and acknowledge the document

Step 4 – Provide the following –

  • Name of preparer
  • Name of person to send tax bills to
  • Name of person to return the document to
